All citizens of Hong Kong are invited to join our Green Leaders on selected beaches to remove waste, collect data for our new Citizen Science program CleanupTime, and exchange about Ocean sustainability and the single use plastic issue.
This year, the European Union in Hong Kong and Macao took beach cleaning one step further with our new program @CleanupTime. In collaboration with the Swire Institute of Marine Science (SWIMS) of the The University of Hong Kong – HKU, the EU Office together with the teams of the Consulates General of the EU Member States in Hong Kong conducted a “scientific” beach cleaning at LapSapWan, Cape d’Aguilar.
